It's a good attempt but has a lot of work that needs doing. It doesn't fit together imo., the title of the piece doesn't make sense when looking at the content of the picture (at least not easily) and it looks incomplete.
A plain black canvas doesn't do this justice. Add some kind of background or setting or even a simple gradient background/sphereal gradient background.
The random blue light streak looks flat where as the boy is clearly in a 3D perspective. Imo. I'd integrate this better by having it stem from the ball in the hand or remove it altogether.
